Postcards ~ Dear Jason

Dear Jason,

Hope all's well in Nova Scotia. Baught two new toads for the cactus garden and a new wreath for the front door, the one we made was looking a bit weathered. Josie's doing fine. She waits by the front door for spring to get here. Have you heard of tomato plantain? It's a new favorite of mine. I'll send you the recipe. I like to dip my corn chips in it and play scrabble with my online friends. They miss you by the way. They're used to hearing news about you, but I haven't had anything to say for a while as you haven't written me yet. I know it's only been a day or two, but I'd really appreciate a postcard.

Love,
Rose

Awwww-

I love frogs and toads. I enjoy seeing them in the garden. As fir Nova, well... that is still on-going until July. Fancy- I have given up....

A question.

What magazine real mag. would you write for, and what would be the article? Do write one, so we can enjoy your wit.

Oh, that IS a good question. Hmmm. I'll have to ponder on that one and get back with everyone. Give me to the end of the weekend?

How crazy is that, that you love frogs and toads. I had no idea.

Don't give up. July is a long way off, too far off to give up now. It's a good thing it wouldn't be until July anyway, right?

I agree, you should get a lot of your work published. I would add, instead of picking a magazine, I'd write what you love and then find the magazines that fit your writing? One of my favorite magazines that I subscribe to is The Rambler, a magazine of personal expression
http://www.ramblermagazine.com/index.html if your not familiar with it it's worth checking out. I don't think it has a real big circulation but it is a very smart magazine.

What I forgot to say was that I have had a few dreams about your work in magazines- by that I mean many mags.

Do you get the Artists' & Writers' Handbook there? If so get it or re-read it.

Just been watching the BBC version of Little Dorrit- a 14 part serialisation of the Dickens' classic. You will love it- out on DVD and a real treat for all the family. Great casting and acting.

I checked out that magazine, Bill. It is awesome! I'm so excited! OMG! I was thrilled with the photos you can use to inspire your writing. I'm going to submit! Thanks, man!

Oooh, JAS, thanks for letting me know. I knew you had something behind your request, which I will get to. Hard to choose if the world was my oyster. Which mag though, that would be the hardest part. Are you sure I can't make one up? Okay, fine. I won't make one up.

I'm going to have to check out the BBC version of Little Dorrit for sure! Watched Murder at the Gallop last night, by the way. I do love Margaret Rutherford!
